Fly fishing on the river of the 1000 rings. The River Grosse Muehl is located in the beautiful, Upper Austrian area called Mühlviertel close to the Bohemian Forest. During the summer seasons a every morning and evening a wonderful spectacle takes place daily. The river is covered with rings on the surface and you will see the high potential of this golden colored meadow river. The huge amount of grayling and brown trout is absolutely overwhelming. My biggest catches were at around 45-55 cm. Through the golden brown color water it’s not easy to spot the fish, but equipped with pool goggles and know how it is of course possible to find a remedy.
